Elaine's POV
"So you don't feel sorry for her?" I ask as Ethan laid by my side on the bed.
"Not really." He answered and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Why not? She used to be your best friend and you guys used to get along great." I said to which he scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"As you said, she used to be my best friend and now we're just two people who live in the same place, period." He replied, sounding uninterested in the topic we'd been discussing since we returned to our tent.
"Okay, but I feel a little pity for her," I admitted to which he looked at me surprised.
"Really?" He asked and I smiled at him before answering.
"Even after what she did then, yes. I still feel a little pity for her." I stated truthfully but he raised an eyebrow at me and I chuckled lightly seeing how skeptical he was.
"I'm serious Ethan." I insisted. It was true, even after what she did years ago, I still felt some sympathy for her.
