Nina's POV
"I knew it...I knew it! When you offered to help me. I knew you had something up your sleeves." Vida said angrily while glaring at Elaine.
"And why would I lie about this?" Elaine retorted calmly with an arched eyebrow as she met Vida's stare challengingly.
"You think I don't know what you're doing... suddenly showing up from the dead, acting like some kind of a hero... Like you're invincible. Who even knows if you're the one working for Khan and you're here pretending to…" She was unable to finish her sentence as Daago slammed his hand on the table, the sound reverberating through the whole tent.
"That's enough!" He boomed out at Vida causing her to jump in surprise at the booming tone.
Elaine continued staring at Vida defiantly and I saw the fury in her green irises as they flashed dangerously at her.
