"What? You don't agree with us getting married?"
Arthur was at a loss for words. Astragus's answer was unexpected. He should not care enough to be opposed to the marriage. Why did he bother to do that?
Astragus raised his head, looking at Arthur very haughtily. "You didn't think I would let her marry a human, did you?"
Cass stood up and pounded the table until it split in two. Arthur flinched in surprise while Astragus remained calm.
"You just want to make me suffer, right?" Cass snapped at her father.
Astragus didn't flinch as he folded his arms. Cass firmly believed this was her father's way of making her suffer. So far, her father has never cared about her, especially in matters of romance. He had no reason to refuse Arthur.
Astragus shook his head firmly. "No," he said.
