Getting the blessing from Astragus was the most difficult thing. Even more difficult than the dream of conquering the world. Arthur scratched his head with an awkward smile. What should he do?
"We don't need him. I can get married without him," Cass said.
The elder shook his head sensibly. "You can't, My Lady. The blessing of the family is the most important condition."
Cass's face grew even angrier. Arthur immediately grabbed her hand. It looked romantic, but he was actually just holding Cass back from hitting the elder.
"Don't you have any other family?" whispered Arthur.
Cass' flat face was the answer. She has no one but her father.
Arthur sighed and said goodbye to the elder. It wasn't the elder's fault if they couldn't get married. If the rules were like that, they couldn't just change them.
