The fragrance of flowers in late spring was carried by the wind into the house. Holly only had to open the window and the whole room felt cooler.
"It's finished."
Holly looked satisfied at the food that was served on the table. All day he prepared these foods. A small cake she put in the centre. Cake with berries on top of it looked tempting for a child.
Holly stared out the window. It was past lunchtime but they still haven't shown up. Holly thought she should advise them again about how important it was to be punctual for nobles.
The door to the house finally opened. Gilbert came in with a tired face. His hair was messy and there were even twigs stuck in it.
Holly chuckled. "Did he play with you again?"
