"You mean… Your son isn't a human?" Gilbert's voice shook with surprise.
Felix was silent while holding his chin. He shook his head, unsure of a definite answer. It was too early to conclude when the baby was not yet born.
"If that's your only hope, you'd better throw it away than you'll be disappointed," Gilbert said again. He didn't really believe what Felix said.
"I'm serious! The baby in Holly's belly smells different from the baby girl earlier."
"But doesn't Holly smell like other humans either, maybe your son does too?" Gilbert was still a little sceptical of Felix's confession.
Felix was lost in his thoughts. What he smelled in Holly's stomach he couldn't recognize. Didn't smell like Holly. Although Holly was too fragrant for a human, Felix could still recognize if she was a human.
But that baby was very different. Like an alien creature that Felix had never met.
