Cass became a traitor. That wasn't a funny joke.
Gilbert wanted to convince himself that what he saw was wrong. But in the kingdom, only a handful of people have golden hair. And Gilbert had met Arthur. He still remembered his face very well.
"I didn't expect this plan to go so fast," Arthur muttered.
"Don't get excited just yet. Are you sure what Felix doing is cheating? I mean, I'm not sure how to do it right after all—"
Arthur covered Cass' mouth with his palm to silence her. "How about you check it yourself? Have the flowers withered or not?"
Cass pushed Arthur's hand away roughly. She would save her annoyance for later. "What if it hasn't withered yet?"
Arthur shrugged. "Then we're not done. Do it again."
"Don't take too long. Our plan must succeed before Elena officially becomes a concubine."
Arthur looked disdainful of her. He chuckled casually without noticing Cass's flushed face with anger.
