"Felix will kill me."
For the hundredth time, Cass muttered in the middle of the forest. Darkness had greeted her long ago, but that beautiful woman was not interested in returning. Felix would definitely berate her if she came back now.
"Are you afraid of him?" Arthur asked and yawned.
Cass picked up a pebble and threw it into one of the tree branches, right where Arthur was sitting.
"You only follow Holly, so you only see his soft side. Next time you should see how angry he is." Cass shuddered at the thought of Felix being angry.
"I've seen it."
"No. He doesn't really take his anger out on you. Thanks to your sister."
Cass lay down on the cold grass with the afternoon dew. She stared at the mist-covered sky. Not a single star to be seen tonight, everything was dark, just like her future.
"What about your people? Are they safe?" asked Arthur as he jumped from the tree.
