As long as Gilbert was alive, this was the first time he had seen Felix so pleading with him. His younger brother, who often used force to get what he wanted, was now pleading with hope.
"I have to see her. Please let me in."
Gilbert knew Felix could barge in by force, especially when he was so emotional. But Felix chose to ask him for permission to avoid fighting like before.
Gilbert also couldn't bear to let Felix look so messed up. After all, tomorrow's wedding will most likely be postponed.
Gilbert nodded weakly. "Don't get caught."
Felix immediately jumped up onto the balcony through the tree branches. He was so skilled at it and landed smoothly on Holly's balcony.
The room was dark from the outside, only two candles lit dimly. Felix opened the balcony door and was greeted with a sweet scent. He walked in slowly so that no one would hear.
