Holly was stunned at her place. Felix was bigger than she could remember. He was as big as a bear, three times bigger than Adda.
"You are very big," said Holly. Her voice was shaking. There was still a hint of fear. It was normal for a human to be scared of a wolf. Especially a big one.
"I have royal blood in me." Felix's voice also sounded heavier. His voice almost sounded like a growl.
"Can I touch you?" asked Holly doubtfully.
Now, Holly understands the reason why Felix suddenly treats her nicely. He did that, so Holly wasn't too scared of him. The only reason why Holly didn't run away in fear was because Holly knew Felix wouldn't hurt her.
Felix bent his legs, sat down on the grass. The light from the lake made his eyes shine, and Holly found it cute.
Holly approached him slowly. She sat next to Felix. Her hand reached out to grab Felix's head. His furs were very soft like cotton and smell like flowers. Unconsciously, Holly hugged his head.
Felix's head was bigger than her body, but she still managed to hug him. Felix closed his eyes, inhaling the caramel aroma that made him lose in lust.
"You're cute," Holly murmured softly as she let go of her embrace.
Felix was surprised by her reaction. He used to be called scary, but cute?
"You are the first person who said that." And maybe she would be the only one.
Suddenly, their surrounding became sparkling. The fireflies came around them. Their light allowed Holly to see Felix's face more clearly. Seen up close like this, he doesn't look as scary as she thought.
He looked like a dog but bigger. Holly could tell every time Felix smiled. She didn't lie, Felix was cute in her eyes. But at the same time, he still looks majestic, like a King.
His charisma made Holly want to kneel in front of him. Not out of fear but out of awe. There was no longer any fear. How could a wolf be this beautiful?
His furs, his scent, and his presence made Holly feel comfortable. She wanted to sink into his soft furs.
Before she knew it, Holly had fallen asleep.
***
Holly moved comfortably in her sleep. The smell tickled her nose. Oh, this must be Felix. Holly sniffed her nose.
Wait... Felix! Holly opened her eyes in shock. She just remembered that she was with Felix.
Felix's face was the first thing she saw. His face was very close to Holly's, and those black irises looked at her with curiosity.
"What?" he asked.
Holly still dozed out. She blinked a few times to come back to her senses. The fireflies were still surrounding them, moving towards the castle.
Move? Holly looked around. She was moving, but she was not walking. Oh, she just realized. Holly was in Felix's arms.
Felix's scent smelled so strong because Felix carrying her, and he wasn't wearing any clothes. Felix has no clothes on!
Holly spontaneously pushed Felix when she saw his bare chest right in front of Holly's face.
"Woah! Don't move!" Felix lost his balance. They both fell. Felix fell down gracefully while Holly fell down very unbeautifully. Well, it was her own fault.
"What did we do?" asked Holly frantically. She was afraid to see Felix naked like that. Maybe she unknowingly did something terrible with him.
The fireflies flew towards them. And Holly could see Felix's whole naked body. Yes, naked! Not only his chest but his entire body was not covered in cloth. His clothes must have been torn off when he turned into a wolf earlier.
"I can't pull you on my back by myself, so I have to carry you like this," Felix explained.
Holly immediately covered her face with her palms. Gosh, why does Felix sound so relaxed with that appearance? Was he not ashamed?
Without looking at Felix, Holly took off her cloak and gave it to him. "Please wear this."
Felix accepted it. Because Felix's body was too tall, the cloak won't be able to cover his body. So he tied it around his waist, hiding his 'precious treasure' from Holly's sight.
"Why are you so shocked?"
"Of course I am!" Holly raised her voice unintentionally. Who is not surprised to wake up in the arms of a naked man. In the middle of the forest!
But Holly couldn't blame Felix. Maybe this kind of thing was common in his era. Moreover, it was Holly's fault because she fell asleep at the lake. Felix's furs were softer than a blanket. Holly can't help but sleep.
Holly tried to calm her heartbeat. She didn't want to look fascinated by what she saw.
"Let's go back to the castle," said Holly to break the awkwardness around them.
"Aren't you cold?" Holly was starting to worry. Summer nights were colder. She shuddered because of the cold air, but she was worried about Felix who was not wearing anything. It could be troublesome if the King catches a cold.
"No, I don't get cold easily. How about you? Should I warm you up?" Felix was about to release his cloak, but Holly stopped him immediately. Right in time, before an incident happen.
"I'm fine. Please keep it on."
Felix looked at his cloak, and he nodded. But after that, he approached Holly. Without warning, he hugged her from behind.
"What are you doing?!" Holly panicked. He was still half-naked, and that really mattered to her.
"You're cold. This will keep you warm in a moment."
Felix was right. Holly was burned for what he did. Her face was red, and her cheeks felt hot.
[Is he want to seduce me, or does he really know nothing?] Holly tried to be positive, but she couldn't hold it anymore.
Holly pushed Felix gently. "I'm warm. Thank you, Your Majesty."
Felix didn't seem to know what he was doing. Luckily there weren't many fireflies near Holly's face, so he couldn't see how red her face was.
Ssrrkk!
A rustling sound in the darkness made Holly stiffen. Meanwhile, Felix stayed calm. His nose could detect what was hidden behind the tree even without seeing it.
"It's okay, come here."
At first, Holly thought Felix was talking to her. But when Felix raised his hand towards the tree, Holly realized Felix was talking to something that was still hidden.
A bear, as big as Felix's wolf, came out of the darkness. He walked timidly toward Felix and then bowed docilely in front of him.
"You can touch him too," Felix said.
Holly hesitated a little. Touching a male bear was something she would absolutely avoid. But the bear looked obedient to Felix, and Holly started to approach him too.
Felix patted his head. He told Holly to do the same.
"He obeys me. Since you have my scent now, he will obey you too."
Holly stroked the bear. What was scary from afar can look adorable up close. Just like Felix.
"So you're like the King of animals?"
"Well, you can say it like that."
Holly chuckled. "That's cute."
Cute? It was the second time Felix had heard it. Holly said he was cute!
"Don't you think I rather look scary than cute?"
"Sometimes, but being the King of animals is cute. You can make them obey you like this." The bear seemed to enjoy Holly scratching his head.
"That would be fun. You seem to have many animals, Your Majesty."
Felix couldn't help but smile. "You can have it too. What's mine is yours too, My Queen."
