Henry knew the next part would not be accepted by members of the pack. No matter how understanding they could be about what he had done the first time with the one wolf, killing ten wolves at once would not have the same reaction.
And Henry was more than willing to admit that he had actually just gotten lucky with Connor's execution. He'd been lucky that no wolves had stood up against him, and he'd been lucky that Connor had been found out so quickly after David's defection. The pack had wanted someone to pay for everything they'd been going through.

They were disloyal, and they had betrayed the pack in the worst possible way, but they were still from the pack. Which meant that they had family and friends in the pack that would argue for them, that would try to protect them.
