"I know of a pathway into the city," David told Auburn. "One that will get a wolf right into the heart of Wolfsbane territory, and he should be able to get some valuable information. The only problem is that I have no one to send."
"Hmm," Auburn answered, thinkin g.
David had turned out to be a treasure trove of information. Especially on Layla and Henry's behavior. Auburn couldn't attack the packs in the forest looking for Layla again, he would seem unstable. And he also couldn't attack Wolfsbane without a proper plan.
But for this insult, his entire pack would easily stand behind him to attack. Henry had broken into their grounds, and kidnapped her, to hear it told by David. And they had found the recording of the old Alpha, too, which gave credence to his story.
Auburn was ready to attack Wolfsbane again, he just needed to be sure of one more thing that was nagging on his mind.
