The two wolves, Emmett and Paul arrived not long after that, and they drove Henry and Layla to the next location. And everything was absolute chaos when they got there. It was clear that something had happened.
"This is the Tricot warehouse," Henry told Layla as they pulled up. "Looks like it's been hit, too. "
As they pulled up, another van with two more wolves pulled up, and the wolves immediately began flanking both her and Henry.
"Morning," the one wolf that came to her side greeted her. "I'm Zee, one of Henry's bodyguards, but I'm here to protect you today."
Her? Why would she need protection? Then Layla remembered what Dean had said about her being kidnapped the last time, and how Burn had staged a robbery to draw the pack's attention there before he took her.
They still thought that something like that could happen again.
"Hi," Layla greeted the wolf that then fell into step behind her, almost becoming like a shadow.
