Callie's POV ...
I pulled out of Kameron's embrace. I brushed away a few of the tears that had fallen from my eyes, suddenly feeling a little stupid.
Kameron intertwined his fingers with mine and rubbed his thumb on the outer part of my hand. His touch calmed the chaos inside of me and I was starting to find my center a bit.
His forest green eyes bored into mine searching for something. I could feel him pushing against my wall but I didn't want to let him in. I didn't want him to see the ugly mess in my head.
I wanted to be the fearless Luna that he needed and deserved. I wanted to be strong and capable but, right now, I just felt weak and defeated. I was years behind the training of others and I was trying to play catch up.
"Let me in," Kameron brought our interconnected hands to his lips and kissed them gently. "I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong."
