News traveled fast around this pack. It had always been a blessing and a curse but today, it had been planned out to be a much-needed blessing in disguise.
I had known that something was going on between Kameron and Callie and now I come to find out that they are fated mates.
I should have known. It was the only logical explanation in the way in which he had been behaving towards her.
First, he didn't imprison her on her arrival. Then, he invited her to stay in his home. Then, he initiated her into the pack without consulting the elders or me. Then, he placed the alpha protection law on her. The man had given clear signs but I had been too blinded to notice.
Now the only two questions that remained were, one, what would happen to Flo and how would alpha Byron react? Two, what did Damien want with Callie? She has to be of some importance and relevance to him.
