This had to be some kind of joke. I stormed my way out of the healing center and made my way to Kameron's house. I knew she would be there.
I took time out of my life to make my way here for his sorry self and he had the nerve to blow up at me, over what? A stupid little gamma who was worth less than the shoes on my feet.
What was so special about her, anyway? At best she was mediocre and clearly paled in comparison to me. I was not a woman who needed to compete because there was never any competition. I came out on top all the time. I wasn't conceited, I just knew it was true.
Wolves far and wide came to seek my hand in marriage. I was well over the age at which one was expected to have found their mate. Unlike others, I was not disappointed. This way, I got to pick my mate and not leave it up to a being in the sky.
