Chapter 121 - Forever

She walked down the path that led her to the old house. As her step was getting closer, her heart thumped harder.

The soothing breeze from the forest blew her hair lightly, but her breath was only getting heavier.

She wanted to see him… but she wasn't ready.

Two years is not a short time, but it is not long enough to make ones forget about the pain and the love they have experienced.

She pushed the door open, hearing the creaking sound of the rusty hinge. And… she found no one was there. The sofa was empty, and the only thing she could feel was his faint scent mixing with the dust.

And that thing was enough to send a shock wave that ripped open the hollow in her heart. The void that all this time she tries to cover with study, works, and all of those possible things she could do.

She knew she had been lying to herself all along. And now, being here with a momentary hope that had tossed her heart, she realized that she was actually broken.
