"Runa," Ethan cut in. "Don't give me the answer right away. I want you to think about it first."
"I don't need time to decide, Ethan. I know the answer."
Ethan crossed one leg over the other as he leaned back and crossed his arms. With his current attitude, he looks much older than Runa, even though they are only one year apart in age.
"No, you don't," he said. "You think you can decide it right now, at this moment, because you feel lonely and you miss him, don't you?"
Runa clenched her jaw and swallowed hard. She wanted to deny it, but it was the truth. Right now, she would do anything just to meet Arden.
"This is the reason why he won't meet you until you can decide." Ethan looked down for a moment and sighed. When he raised his head, he said, "Because he doesn't want his presence to sway you."
