Runa was shocked when she realized who the person in front of her was. Sophia? How did she get here?
Runa rebelled, withdrew her hand, and was about to run for help, but Sophia was faster. She held her off. "Where do you think you're going, Ms. Crown?"
Sophia twisted Runa's hand and made her scream in pain. Then Sophia pulled her closer and twisted her body, then wrapped something around her neck. "Don't move if you don't want to get hurt."
The thing she had wrapped around Runa's neck must have been her weapon, the thread of death.
Runa clenched her jaw. "What do you want?" she hissed.
"You," Sophia answered in a whisper in her ear. "Come on, let's go to the place where everything will end."
Sophia led her down the path leading to the Crown's Family Cemetery.
Runa hoped they would meet the guards along the way to the cemetery. But as all things needed in a critical situation, the guards were nowhere to be seen.
