Runa snuggled under the covers on her bed.
There was a clinking of glass against a spoon downstairs, and soon Arden appeared with a cup of coffee in his hand. He handed the glass to Runa, and she accepted it but didn't drink it right away.
"Thank you," she whispered. She put the coffee cup on the nightstand and hid her hands under the blanket again.
Arden crawled onto the bed and sat across from her. Unlike usual, this time he sat cross-legged, his back slightly bent. He looked at her and waited.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Rune nodded weakly. "I used to feel better… but now it's not bad either."
"I'm sorry about Roderick's attitude earlier," said Arden.
"You don't have to." Runa smiled faintly. "I didn't expect him to be friendly to me."
"But why didn't you tell me about the tomb and the black angel statue?"
