The next day, when Runa opened her eyes, Arden was no longer beside her.
There was only a sheet of paper lying on the pillow. Runa took the paper and turned it over, then found neat handwriting.
Good morning. See you on campus.
P.S: Your sleeping pose isn't bad enough for me to gossip.
Runa smiled, reading the message. She sat up, her hand still holding the paper. She read Arden's message once more, still smiling at the curves of his handwriting.
After she was satisfied looking at the handwriting and reading the message over and over again, Runa took the paper to the bathroom, tore it up, threw it into the toilet and pressed the button to flush.
No matter how much Runa wanted to keep it, she couldn't leave the slightest evidence of Arden's existence here.
Runa looked at her reflection in the mirror while remembering the time she spent with Arden yesterday.
Arden is an angel, said Runa in her heart.
