Runa and Arden tried to find the source of light, but couldn't find one. Runa's cell phone battery runs out as well as the flashlight battery. She didn't keep the candle either. While Arden did not bring his cell phone.
"I…" Runa blinked and took a step back. "I couldn't sleep right away."
"Then? What would you do?"
"I have to take a shower first."
"Ooh."
There was an awkwardness that followed the silence.
"What should I do?" asked Arden. His voice sounded raspy.
Runa didn't want to give the impression that she was teasing him. After all, Arden was a man, even though he was an angel, right?
But Runa once read that angels have no gender….
"Stay close."
"In the bathroom?"
"No!" Runa took another step back. Her calf hit the coffee table, and she almost fell backward, but Arden caught her. He swiftly stepped forward, grabbed Runa's arms, and pulled her closer.
