"Fuck."
The word that escaped Ethan's lips made Mandy gasp. She looked up and saw the worry etched across his face.
"Is it the demon you were worried about?"
Ethan didn't answer, but he gulped. And that was more than enough to confirm it.
Mandy tiptoed and whispered into his ear. "What kind of demon it is?"
"Illusionary demon." Ethan's lips barely moved as he said that.
"And why are you worried about it?"
"Because it is a demon that inflicts the worst trauma from one's soul."
"Enough with the chitchat," said the illusion demon. It hissed and its legs moved like waves. "I assume you want to play with me. Every game has rules and you have to obey the rules if you want to win this game."
The demon hissed again. Its tongue stuck out from the gap in the middle of its lips. "If both of you can get out of the illusion I created without hurting each other, I will give up this soul."
"And if we fail?" Mandy asked.
