"I want to put that sword in my body."
As soon as Mandy and Ethan entered and the gate closed, Runa said that to Arden and Roderick.
Both were stunned, but the gaze on Roderick's face looked even sourer than Arden's. He was clearly not happy with Runa's request.
"It's not that easy," said Roderick later. "I don't know if your body can bear it. And it's not just a matter of whether you're Tsarqi or not, but the fact that you've never received any training in your life makes me not dare to take that risk."
"Don't underestimate my physical abilities," said Runa. "Just do what has to be done so that my body can accept the sword."
Roderick glanced at Arden. The fists beside his body opened and closed, showing discomfort.
"We have no other choice," said Arden, answering Roderick's glance. "She had to do it."
Roderick moved his jaw. "Okay," he said then. "I will test you."
