Runa can't just let Arden go.
"No!" Runa screamed. "Don't leave me, you dammit!"
"Runa." Ethan tried to pull her away, but she slapped his hand roughly. She didn't want to let go of Arden. She wouldn't let their story end here.
"Wake up, babe! You must be by my side, whatever happens! Stay with me to find out who I really am!"
Runa's chest felt tight. Tears rolled down her cheeks and her skin felt like it was burning.
Then she felt a heat wrap around her body and gather in her palm that touched Arden. A faint golden light flashed from their skin meeting, getting brighter and brighter.
Runa looked confusedly at her hands and Ethan shouted something, but Runa couldn't hear him.
The light blinded her eyes and deafened her ears. The heat burned all over her body and she screamed loudly. Then all she saw was white.
