Anna's bedroom door opened.
A guard entered, followed by a group of curious girls.
"There's no one here," said the guard, sticking his head in all directions. Not quite sure what he saw, the guard opened the door wide and looked at all the corners of the room.
"But I believe I saw someone lying on the floor earlier," said a girl. She came in and went to the wardrobe and opened it. She found nothing in there other than a few piles of clothes and hanging clothes.
Another girl bent down to look under the bed and found no one there.
"You must have seen the wrong thing," said the guard, looking out the window. "There's no way that person jumped out of the window."
Anna's two friends exchanged glances, and the other girls, who had gathered out of curiosity, left the room grumbling.
"Next time, make sure you see the right thing before making a fuss," said the guard, before leaving the two of them in the room.
