Chris locked Runa in her room in the main house.
"You can only leave this house when you go to campus," said Chris as they entered Runa's room. "I will order two guards to escort you. Don't try to run away. I will definitely find you."
Chris came out and the guard standing in the hallway in front of her room closed the door and locked it.
Runa ran to the window, and she was not surprised to see a lock had been placed there, as well as the door that led to the veranda.
Chris wasn't kidding about confining her. He even put up trellises on the windows and porch doors so Runa couldn't break them and jump out. She looked up and found surveillance cameras installed in every corner of the room.
Her father is crazy, Runa thought. He's gone mad.
Runa sat limply on the edge of the bed.
