So Susan's attention returned to the banquet tonight: "What is Her Majesty's favorite color? Do you have any preference for the style of clothes? Simple or complex? Fancy or comfortable? Does she have any requests for new dresses other than the major holidays?"
Lady Weber seemed to think for a moment and said, "I don't think Her Majesty has a particular preference for dresses. And it's not even a question of whether she likes it or not. The court has rules about what kind of dresses to wear on specific occasions. But if she had a choice, I guess she'd rather wear nothing. Thank the goddesses. She has no choice."
Wear nothing? Susan was taken aback and then remembered that Freya seemed to have said the same thing. Freya also liked comfortable clothes and would prefer not to wear them if she could.
