Ella felt like she could have sooner entered the ground. She hated that she had gone this long without seeing him but just a glimpse of his face alone threatened to undo her resolve.
It had been weeks since the last time that she saw him. It wasn't like she was devoid of her man problems. As a matter of fact, she had to physically ward Joey off almost every single day. He was always hounding her.
It was now starting to look like he was doing too much. She was starting to look like who she wasn't.
He would send flowers to her office in the morning, and have lunch brought to her.
She didn't mind the latter if she was being honest but she cared about what people thought. She especially needed it but her work had been hectic for these last few weeks.
They were far behind on publishing a book that she had read the manuscript more times than she could afford to.
