"Betrayal" brought successive Mental Attacks, and Melissa could only counterattack using her power of "Persuasion." Their spirits began to erode and devour each other, and Melissa's gaze grew empty, as both consciousnesses focused on their struggle, leaving no mental energy to control the body.
Shortly after Aiden summoned Halo, the goddess of revenge immediately used "Sacrifice" to transfer herself into Halo's body.
When Melissa called upon her spirit as a part of Melifilia, she accepted without hesitation and thus entered the body of her long-despised enemy.
While summoning Melifilia, Melissa granted her an equal right to control the body. Being a fellow goddess of "Conspiracy" with a similar pattern of thought, if synchronization wasn't complete, one would absorb the other, and the weaker would naturally resist.
And that provided the goddess of revenge with the opportunity to fight the goddess of conspiracy on equal footing within the same body.
