As soon as Abigail said this, not only Aiden but also Qiqimora and Tony subconsciously held their breath and focused, pricking up their ears.
"Actually..." With everyone's attention on her, Abigail lowered her voice slightly, "your residence, it seems, is being watched."
Silence shrouded the round table,
"Since when?" Aiden asked.
"I noticed about five minutes ago; as for when it actually began, that's harder to say." Abigail whispered, "There are a few bats hanging on the tree right outside the window facing the main road, and some facing this side alley, under the eaves of the residential building opposite."
Aiden and Qiqimora simultaneously used the "night vision" magic and looked out at the windows enveloped by the night without drawing attention, indeed barely making out several bats' silhouettes.
Without a word, Aiden continued to roll the dice—he fortunately rolled a six and moved his game piece out, then rolled again.
