An awkward silence lingered for quite a while before Deborah blinked as if she hadn't quite registered what was said, "What?"
"I said the Empire's project is gone," Aiden explained. "Five years ago, the Empire's project was stolen by the espionage department of the Kingdom of Gistas."
"Really?" Deborah was half-skeptical, half-believing.
"Of course, I can't lie right now," Aiden reminded her again.
"Your source of information..."
"Absolutely reliable," Aiden replied, his expression unchanging.
After all, it was intelligence he had gained through personal experience.
"But if that's the case, hasn't the experimental project simply moved to the Kingdom of Gistas? The Gistas military is no pushover, and as far as I know, they have been meddling in the recent war in the south," Deborah's eyes became serious once again, "Mr. Aiden, since you are aware of this, join me in the investigation!"
