The recent conversation had instantly ignited their gossiping hearts.
"What nonsense, who told you that?" Veronica immediately frowned and denied it.
She became slightly vigilant, realizing that only the guards knew about the "Lady of the Flowers" appearance, and if Fille was aware of such news, it could mean that a guard had been idly chatting with the prisoners.
"It can't be fake, just look in the mirror; you've been wearing your heart on your face these past few days…" Fille pouted.
"You answer what I ask you!" Veronica leaned in close to Fille, with an expression like she was about to devour her.
"Uh, a prisoner I know heard it while cleaning, during idle chat between you guards…" Fille shrank her neck and hurriedly explained.
"Stop believing everything you hear, and instead of gossiping, don't you have anything better to do?" Veronica said, impatiently wanting to change the subject.
