The campfire was lit beneath the treehouse, and everyone gathered under the tree to partake in the overdue lunch.
"I asked you to get some ingredients, not necessarily to hunt a whole deer…" Aiden said, gazing at the prey in front of him, somewhat dumbfounded.
"I brought you guys this rare delicacy since you civilized folk lack the ability to survive independently in the wild; what's there to be dissatisfied about?" Lamia put her hands on her hips, proudly sticking out her chest.
"Without tools, how are we supposed to cook it?" Aiden surveyed the deer, its neck broken, not knowing where to begin.
"I'll tear it into small pieces for you to eat directly. Some of the organs are quite tasty raw. I recommend the liver."
"You eat the large intestine raw too?" Aiden couldn't help but think of the "big intestine sashimi" joke.
"Can you even eat that?"
"Actually, if it's cleaned properly and cooked well, it can be quite delicious," Aiden said.
