"By the way," Lamia suddenly seemed to remember something and pointed to the wardrobe. "I actually prepared a little surprise gift for you."
"What is it?" Aiden looked over cautiously.
"Oh, wouldn't it cease to be a surprise if I told you?" Lamia encouraged Aiden with a smile, "Go ahead and open it."
Aiden stood still, pondering for a moment, then turned to the mercury amalgam golem.
"Open that cabinet," he commanded.
"That's no fun," Lamia protested from the side.
"I always have a bad feeling about this." Aiden watched calmly as the mercury amalgam golem opened the wardrobe.
In the wardrobe, a woman in a military uniform was curled up, her face already devoid of color, her eyes tightly shut, showing no signs of life whatsoever. She looked just like a corpse.
Aiden turned slowly, his words deliberate, "Lamia, explain this. This body isn't your food reserve, is it?"
