In the evening, inside a side room of the core area medical office, Veronica monitored as Meiruki attended to Halo, who was awakening from a stupor, conducting a physical examination.
"Is everything alright now?" Veronica asked.
"At least her heart rate and pulse have stabilized, as for consciousness...," Meiruki, who was examining Halo, replied, "half the time she's like this anyway."
Tied to the bed, Halo stared blankly at the ceiling, completely unresponsive to Meiruki's touch.
"We can take her back to her cell; after several days of hibernation, she needs to eat something. She probably won't have much of an appetite, so we can't let her eat too much at once—small, frequent meals." Meiruki stood up.
"Let's keep her restrained for now; I'll consult first," Veronica said, watching Halo for a moment, "You go and get her something easy to swallow."
