Amber-colored sparkling wine flowed into the glass, and Sophie Carter's eyes lit up as she lifted the glass towards the white wall, examining the wine inside. She then brought the glass close to her nose and took a gentle sniff.
"The wine from the Griffon Winery is better in hue than I imagined, it's a shame I missed out on it at that time," Sophie remarked nonchalantly before taking a sip, "Unfortunately, the wine is still a bit warm at this temperature. Can we get an ice bucket over here?"
"You should be glad you get to drink at all," Aiden replied coldly, the luxury completely outside his everyday life. To him, Sophie's style was just an extravagance.
"To have such rare good wine in hand, yet not knowing how to appreciate it, you'd become a tasteless nouveau riche," Sophie said.
"I wouldn't mind becoming a nouveau riche," Aiden said, unfazed.
"Speaking of which, are you not drinking yourself?" Sophie noticed that Aiden wasn't pouring himself any wine.
