Veronica looked at Aiden in surprise, the suspicious woman in black who had seemingly been beaten breathless by Aiden, but her superior still had the stance of facing a formidable enemy.
"The enemy is hiding here! Back to the prison! Quick!" Aiden repeated the command.
"But what about you, sir—" Veronica realized that Aiden's command to evacuate did not include himself, and it sounded... as if he intended to stay behind to "cover the retreat."
"I want to take a couple of shots at him, see if I can smash this guy's head open right here," Aiden replied with a cold expression.
"Then I will also—" She unconsciously wanted to express her desire to stay and help, but Aiden stopped her with a gesture.
"This opponent is a bad match for you; your presence would only distract me," Aiden urged, "Leave this place, that's an order! Trusting your superior is the virtue of a subordinate."
