Late at night, after resolving various miscellaneous affairs, Aiden came to the dungeon below his office.
When he opened the massive dungeon gate, Aiden found that Melifilia was not sleeping as usual but was staring at him with her silvery-gray eyes.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time, my jailer," she said with a grin to Aiden.
"Did you know I would come to find you?" Aiden wasn't surprised.
"Ah yes, of course, because you and I are attuned to each other..." Melifilia said in a mocking tone.
But Aiden didn't take this as a joke: "Tell me, can you read my mind?"
He had long felt that Melifilia possessed some ability to obtain external information and suspected she might have the ability to read minds.
"Don't worry, mind-reading is indeed one of the powers of the spirit authority, but I can't use it now that I'm nailed down by the Holy Nail. So as I said, we are merely attuned, you see? We are linked by an invisible red thread, hahaha..." Melifilia teased Aiden.
