Why would stepping into the 2-tier lead to a deep connection with the deity's avatar? This treatment was usually reserved for those at the fourth-tier or even higher.
It could be overlooked if it were just a fleeting connection, which would normally break off in an instant, like someone signing an "acknowledged" on a document.
