Jenny thought it wise to walk past and leave Edmund to his feelings.
''You've done a good job, Eddie. Keep up the good work,'' Jenny remarked, stretching her hand towards Edmund's face to pat the sweaty grey stubbles on his cheek. She subsequently made to walk past as though she had only come for casual talk.
The brief chat with Edmund was so casual that Jenny hadn't believed she had summoned up such courage to address someone of Edmund's calibre and her executive boss at Avi Bank at that. However, as Jenny turned to commit her body away. from the chat, Edmund gave voice to his affection and wouldn't let Jenny leave.
''Hey, c'mon, I never got to meet you,'' Edmund said as he grabbed hold of Jenny's hand in a single-step sprint. ''What's your name?''
