The atmosphere Philip intended to create between Jenny and him had gone awry. But that was not his intent. He took a moment to study the undertone of Jenny's emotional outburst, but could only see the true intent of a young lady seeking whom to lend her voice a listening ear and understand her. He could see a frustrated lady beyond the facade of violent outburst. For a moment, he allowed himself to take the blame for the gimmick he had deployed in starting the interrogation.

Philip vacated his seat and rose his feet as he parted his arms, calling for calm. He quite understood the gravity of his words and was willing to make amends. In fact, if he could draw his words back, he would, without reservations. He was that friendly to a fault. He moved an inch across to the opposite seat and settled beside Jenny whose vent of temper gradually subsided.
