George's instant leadership take-over within the Dohertys' didn't exactly go down well with majority of the menials. His arrival in the underground training vault didn't please Mike and Sammy who felt he had only orchestrated Richard's downfall in the pecking order, in a bid to oust him and replace him. George's ploy had hit home perfectly. His ambition to access the vault and take charge of the proceedings within had been fulfilled with a single stroke of accusation. He had been welcomed to the fold by Sammy and Mike--though reluctantly--as they were left with no choice than to recognise his leadership. However, it seemed rather odd to have George leading the third army and all the menials in the house of Doherty. George had been Richard's protégé and he had also passed under Sammy's tutelage and Mike's drilling. The duo had to terms with the reality of power, and it was not long before they embraced Tega's choice.
