Tina was in a dire situation, she was standing, back to the proverbial wall, in front of a real living vampire, even if he looked like a kid there was no telling how dangerous the being was.
Suddenly, what the being said dawned on her, she looked at the skull, she looked at the adolescent and extended her arm, her hand passing right through the figure.
No blood was drawn, the individual was there and he wasn't, but he looked very annoyed by her action.
"A strange one indeed" he commented as she had her arms elbow deep into his chest "but I guess this will quicken things a little. "
Tina dropped the skull and started running with the idea to leave the place go up the stairs and leave the castle back to the bus and screw with the situation at hand!
She ran and ran as her mind recalled the exit much closer, but it was now nowhere in sight, she was short on breath and had to look back to see how much distance she had covered.
No change, she was still in the same precise spot, the silent skeleton and the apparition were still there; only the skull had somehow returned to its rightful place.
An evil-looking grin appeared on the apparition's lips as he looked at her catching her breath.
Tina was desperate, she wanted to run but clearly couldn't, the only silver lining in the situation was that the being wasn't aggressive.
He simply smirked, showing his canines, without uncrossing his arms from his chest he spoke.
"You done? The people that came with you don't have all day you know?"
Tina frowned looking at him frowning, was he baiting her?
"In fact we do, it's you that has to fear the sun! Besides, you are here, dead. You can't hurt them."
The vampire smiled, apparently amused by Tina's defying words.
"Do I have to remind you how your escape attempt went, little girl?"
Tina shivered at the thought but it was what she expected from the being, she took courage and spoke again.
"So that was your doing! Is the fog your little trick to have visitors? If you don't like having guests that much, release us!"
The vampire sighed annoyed bringing his left hand to his brow and massaging it before speaking while looking at her.
"Yeah riiight I am fond of visitors and of making the same conversation over and over and over and over again." a irritated tone seeped into his otherwise calm voice.
"Listen we'll go away, just release us!" begged Tina hoping to reason with the being that sighed.
"You are not the first" "So what about it?" "I told all before you the same thing" "I don't care! Just let us go!" "Yeah, right I suggest you should care" "Why to let us go!" "Well, how about... no?"
Tina took her breath after the quick back and forth with the being, it was also her way to at least try not to snap at the guy.
"Listen… we're not going anywhere." Tina sighed trying to calm down "Just… who are you?"
The vampire chuckled a little before answering "You would take a trophy out of a vampire whose name you don't even know? I am Adelcot and I will rule all vampires when I will be free."
Tina frowned at those words "When you will be free? Aren't you dead?"
Adelcot laughed a little "Then how do you explain us talking or me stopping your escape?"
"Poltergeist " Replied Tina quite sure of herself, making the vampire apparition raise an eyebrow to the word.
"Are you the same as the last guy in uniform? No … the sound of the word is somewhat different. Who are you?" Asked the now annoyed vampire.
"Name is Tina. I don't have anything to do with the nazis I am not here to free you!" She declared, fully expecting the man to start to shout at her or become enraged, but that didn't come.
Adelcot simply shrugged "Ok, so you and all your friends will die for nothing then."
Tina gulped down her fear, picked up a sword from the ground, and was about to start writing do not free on the wall only to realize similar writings etched in it.
"As I said, you are not the first." said the vampire noticing her hesitation in front of the wall.
"Greek, Latin… this is not the modern way to use it, it's an ancient text!" Said Tina
"I have been around a while you know? I mean I am immortal."
Adelcot was about to continue when a scream could be heard, making him click his tongue audibly.
Tina recognized the voice as one of the guys accompanying her, but judging from the vampire's previous reaction he didn't have anything to do with it.
"It's not your doing! What is happening?" Asked Tina, the vampire appeared annoyed.
"Like you, there are those who don't wish for me to be free. They tend to kill all my so-called guests before leaving my home." Explained the vampire
Tina had a hard time keeping her cool, she wanted to scream to the vampire to save her best friend, but she felt also weirdly calm like a presence was calming her.
"You can't do jack squat. And I thought you were a powerful vampire, turns out you're just a show-off!"
Adelcot narrowed down his crimson eyes as he frowned clearly irritated by her words.
"choose your next words very carefully, they might be your last" he growled
