Two days later, Xiu Ying gathered with Heng Da's group again in the library. This time she was determined that all roads must definitely lead to success. The mood in the library was soft and cozy, and Fu Wei was even there, feeling high like a female horse. They had solved the mathematics problems before them, and the three Heng Da had incredible expressions. It was like heaven blessed their brain because they suddenly understood the equations. Xiu Ying opened a general mathematics textbook and drafted questions that were there in her notebook. Then she brought out another notebook and replicated the question, but this time she made some replacements in a few coefficients, variables, and even operators. Just as she did this, Xiu Ying brought her phone and opened the last semester's examination document, comparing them. Suddenly, the expression of everyone changed to shock.
"How did you arrive at these answers? You just rearranged the equations to the ones similar to our first semester exams." Heng Da asked, puzzled.
"I just came to a sudden realization." Xiu Ying smiled with confidence as if her moment of striking of victory pose had appeared. Of course, it was a total lie. She instantly flashed the scene when she came to my room.
Xiu Ying had previously entered my room and blackmailed me into helping her solve her current predicament. We sat on the student chairs with a mathematics text to have a total breakdown of most of the equations she found frightening.
"Many examples cited in the book are useful after clearly understanding the topics. For fundamental reasons, the school would modify most questions slightly. It is a problem because setting some mathematical questions might lead to ambiguities, so the school tries to avoid that." I said calmly. In fact, you could say some fundamental rules guided the modification of the questions and the direction from which the school could modify the questions.
Xiu Ying looked at me with disbelief. It was almost like asking me how I came to such a conclusion. Then I immediately taught her the solution, which I had practically solved in the library. It instantly served as the in-depth coding rules for determining the questions. However, this time I made the solving very simple and unambiguous. I created situations where the expression of the equation was effortlessly determined. The variable, the coefficient, and the operator could all be solved. The solving was like a switch where questions were determined using two equations.
"To determine the expression which most likely contains variable and coefficient is one part. However, discovering either variable, coefficient, or operator, is another challenge. These problems are solved separately and cannot be confused with each other," I calmly explained.
As I thought, Xiu Ying was pretty clever, and it did not create much disturbance, and neither was it time-wasting before she began to figure out the deep-rooted rules. Reasonably, all things have regulations, and as a matter of fact, laws govern human lives. If I were to think like a computer, I would say if we adhere to these regulations, our programs, which are indeed our life, will not crash.
Most human rules appeared subtle and easy, yet no one could explain them in words. There were rules which produced terror. Also, there were rules which pushed people in different directions. If each regulation was like an equation—life could be favorable once all elements present themselves; however, there were exceptions to any rules. Like variants, the rule changes.
This thought ran through my head during that short segments of learning because it was like life was a simultaneous equation. And in life, there are constants, variables, and coefficients.
Xiu Ying conquered her worries by applying those rules I had taught her.
She changed her situation. The three Heng Da left the library happy. This result also meant that Xiu Ying could maintain her dignity as she claimed, but this was not my problem after all. Even though Xiu Ying announced that she would come to me for subjects like English, Chinese, History, and general science—I would prefer if she did not because I would love it if she disappeared and never came back.
It was already evening, and around 8:15 pm. I was coming back from the shopping mall—it was dark. I went to look into the musical instrument, Guzheng; I have recently been paying attention to music, but my only fear was that people who approached the realm of music must have a unique musical temperament. It was a demeanor of dignity and calm, completely different from my usual irritation and outrage. However, the whopping amount of cash required to buy a single set of Guzheng was alarming. Recalling the scene when the attendance blatantly told me that the cost was 2,573 Yuan. It struck me like lightning. Honestly, I am a student, and I have an allowance of 10,000 Yuan a month. However, if I stupidly expend my money without thinking, school life would be hellish.
As I lost myself in thought, I heard a rather creepy argument. Actually, it was a pretty one-sided argument, but I could feel the tension in the air. As I drew closer, the discussion became distinct. From the point of conversation, I noticed a figure staring at a frightened student in a lewd way. Every speech that came out of the person's mouth was lustful, and even his body language called for concern. Meanwhile, the figure being bothered was shaking in fear without control.
The trembling figure was Boazhai Dayu, while the male, I remembered him from the first year, class A. I stood pensive for a while before I recalled his name. This person was Shi Qi.
Shi Qi: A harmless student with a weird personality. No one could have believed him to be a sex addict. His blonde pixie had a bang which actually made him cute. His harmlessness could be a veneer under his terror because the devil in the daytime with a harmless demeanor could be a monster in the night with a destructive personality. It was almost like he could do anything when he had lost his mind. At this point, he was as bold as brass as he stared at Boazhai Dayu.
"Boazhai Dayu, I have always wanted to have a moment with you." His body language was exuding a sexual aura capable of incarceration. He approached Boazhai Dayu, who was clearly convulsing as he latched his hands with hers. He used his manly strength to push her to the wall, trying to press his body against hers. Honestly, I could say his adrenaline was really active—he had enough energy to escape hell three times.
I watched this action with disgust, even as a man. I really couldn't understand this reaction. What could spur men to the edge of insanity when it came to sex? It was like he could pay any price to get what he wanted (especially now). Just as he was about to move his disgusting hands further, I took a picture of them. The camera and my footsteps were loud. However, what caught his attention was not that sound but the led light that flashed from the camera.
"Tsk-tsk. Like a wolf devouring its opponent, you have completely lost your human appeal. How would you feel when I take this to the management?" I snapped as I awakened Shi Qi with a hot slap. This period had served me as the avenue where I could unleash a bit of my stifled anger, and even if the school forbade violence, there were always exceptions to the rules. And that exception came under certain conditions like now. That's the variant; the rule-breakers. I also understood a shy person like Boazhai Dayu wouldn't want anything that would strain and expose her. So to expel this guy without uncovering this act was what she probably needed the most. I began playing so many simulations in my head to determine a suitable course of action.
"Get out of here, you beast of hell. You want to reap where you did not sow."
Honestly, I had no idea what I was saying. What has this situation got to do with sowing and reaping? However, that was all I could think of at the moment. And just as I had expected it, Shi Qi scurried in fear with an unbelievable expression. As if saying things had gone out of hand. I stretched my hands at Boazhai Dayu, who paled in fear as she hesitated to accept my hands. However, she understood her situation.
"Are you going to expose him?" She timidly said.
I looked at her in deep thought, and then I finally smiled.
"I will try as much as possible not to involve you, but he should face adequate punishment—the school should expel him for this act. It was sexual harassment, after all. In fact, it was a rape attempt." My word was no exaggeration. Even though I spoke in a light tone, my word was as sure as death.
"Anyway, I will help you. If you feel any uncomfortable things around you, let me know."
I spoke, hoping she would understand my concern for her. She stretched out her arm with her card; she asked me to scan the card. So we exchange both contact and email. I escorted her back to her dorm, trying to make her traumatic experience fade away. Well, I suppose she would come by one day.
