Chapter 64 - Chapter 63

A/N: Just drove like 10 hours so I didn't have time to write a chapter, nor do I have access to my Computer to create chapters as I left it at home, so this one is short and normal chapters won't resume until probably Tuesday at the latest.

I Have not forgotten about you; the readers so just bear with me over the next couple of days.

Among the Rubble civilians, the stations leaders also known as the Rubble Security Council was arrested and imprisoned for their crimes. They were charged with, being involved in the Insurrection, influencing an entire settlement to the ideas of the Insurrection, engaging in terrorists' activities, etc.

These Insurrectionists were the direct cause of the settlement falling under insurrectionists control and causing the suffering of thousands of civilians. With more than a million people living within the Rubble, not everybody was going to listen to the propaganda that the Insurrectionists were feeding them.

Those that were known not to support them were harshly treated and sometimes used as slaves for hard labor. This forced others to get in line and spread fear throughout the station's civilians.

Now that the station was under UNSC control those people were glad to be free and back under the UNSC who would protect them and treat them much better than the Insurrectionists did.

The data that was collected from the Central Control room had been analyzed by Omni and it had revealed communications with other Insurrectionists groups located on other outer colonies and a few inner colonies.

They were attempting to communicate with other groups to give them covenant weapons to use against the UNSC. This would have gave thousands of Insurrectionists covenant weapons, threatening the internal security of the UNSC.

Among the decrypted data, Omni discovered an encrypted video file. Housed within it was a message from an anonymous Insurrectionist leader to other cells dispersed throughout the colonies. In his message, the leader spoke words of revolution and freedom, extolling the virtues of an independent galaxy, free from the clutches of the UNSC.

He ended it with a determined promise – "the dawn of our new era will be forged together with the Covenant."

Axel sighed and shook his head, at the disillusioned Insurrectionists who are most likely being manipulated by the Covenant. But also, this message revealed that they were starting to unite with one another. Which if done successfully, they could launch coordinated strikes on key UNSC logistics, UNSC soldiers, and innocent civilians across the colonies.

"This message in itself is a threat to the UNSC," said Omni as he analyzed the message and conducted multiple simulations on what would happen should the Insurrectionists unite.

"I admit it is a small threat since their numbers are small and they are limited to only the Outer colonies. However, influence within the Inner colonies is stronger than their influence." Explained Axel.

"But it is better to crush them before they get the chance to unite" Added Axel, he understood that it is better to prevent a problem from arising if you have the chance to.

"Omni, get in touch with Admiral Ross and relay this data to him. Tell him I need him and the Generals to begin strategizing for large-scale operations against the Insurrectionist bases on the outer colonies," commanded Axel.

"Understood, Admiral" Replied Omni as his he began to carry out his orders.

While he was doing that, Axel continued to look over the analyzed data, his mind was racing with various things that could happen in the future based on what he just learned.

If the Insurrectionists are being influenced by the Covenant, then that means that there might be more Covenant agents within the outer colonies. And the only race he could think of being an agent is an Elite with their cloaking ability.

They could walk around human cities without being noticed, unless it's near a military base where heat sensors will pick up their presence.

However, within cities where civilians live heat sensors are not a thing.

If this was the case, then this could show that the Covenant was starting to take another route in the war or perhaps trying to distract Axel from what they were really planning.

Whatever was going to happen in the future, Axel would make the necessary adjustments to every situation that is thrown at him.

Meanwhile, unseen in the shadows of an abandoned station on one of the outer colonies, a group of Insurrectionists gathered around a communication device. They listened intently to their Leader's message, gripping their weapons tightly as hop ignited within them.

"Together we will rise…together we will free ourselves from the chains of the UNSC," The Leader's message was heard throughout the entire room.

The Insurrectionists surrounding the communication device had begun cheering loudly. This message gave them the hope that they needed after many of their brothers and sisters had been either captured or killed by the UNSC.

Their main hatred was toward Axel who was known as the Insurrectionists number one enemy. He had terrorized them for over 10 years and now he was the head of the UNSC making him their number one target to kill.

Within the room while everybody was cheering at their Leader's message, two Insurrectionists were talking with each other in the corner of the room.

"So we lost contact with the Rubble, huh" Said Bailey Ward. He was an agent who conducts espionage and intelligence gathering missions against the UNSC.

"Yes, the entire Insurrectionists cell there has been compromised, but if they followed protocol then the data that they had should've been deleted before the UNSC was able to get it so I don't think we should worry about for now, but we should keep a close watch on our other outposts." Explained Jamar Hopkins. He was a mid-ranking member Insurrectionists who mainly visited other cells to establish contact and work together.

Ward nodded in agreement. "It's too dangerous to venture into the inner colonies at the moment, but I do have a connection in the Colonial Military Authority (CMA) who can keep me informed about any significant military activity in the outer colonies," he shared.

"Good, keep me informed of anything so I can let the higherups know and we can make adjustments to our facilities" Replied Hopkins.

Ward nodded then walked out of the room. Hopkins had remained inside of the room as he had to give a brief on their future operations against the UNSC.
