Chapter 151 - Chapter 149

"I've had enough of this nonsense" stated Axel as his Nano suit had materialized over his body. Through his Nueral implant he heard Omni's voice informing him of incoming reinforcements "ODSTs are inbound, ETA 5 Min" reporting Omni.

Hearing Omni's report, Axel faced his Honor guards and told them only one thing, "Kill them all" he ordered. That was all the Honor guards needed as together with Axel, they charged into the Krogan horde while firing their weapon at the same time taking out a few Krogan before the two sides collided.

The Honor Guards had transitioned to melee mode causing the Krogan in front to be cut in half by the Honor Guards energy swords. Axel on the other hand had used an ability that he never used in actual combat. His suit allowed him to generate and manipulate constraint fields at will.

Which in other terms would allow him to move and freeze people similar to telekinesis. Axel charged into the mob, sending Krogan after Krogan flying with the force of his constraint fields. The air was filled with the sounds of grunting Krogans and the hum of the energy swords slicing through them.

It was chaos, pure and simple. But for Axel, it was another day in the mass of battles he had faced throughout his life. His Honor Guards followed him without hesitation, cutting down Krogan after Krogan as if they were wheat. Their energy swords left trails of light in the air that seemed to cut through the air at insane speeds.

Axel grabbed hold of a particularly large Krogan with his constraint field and sent him flying into several other Krogan at such a fast speed that they couldn't even get back up to fight. The next Krogan that came to challenge Axel had his hands cut off, then his head.

The scene was a mixture of blood and gore, the red dust of Tuchanka staining the ground even darker as Krogan bodies fell one by one. The four clan leaders watched in sheer disbelief as Axel and his Honor Guard decimated their ranks with an ease that spoke volumes about their training and might.

One of the clan leaders, an elder named Gorthok, roared out in pure frustration. "Fight him yourself if you think you are stronger!" he bellowed at the other three leaders, his eyes blazing with fierce determination. He moved forward, pulling out his own massive hammer and charged at Axel.

Just as Gorthok was about to reach him, Axel turned around. With a swift movement, he lifted his hand and Gorthok froze mid-air, held in place by the constraint field. With a flick of his wrist, Axel sent the Krogan leader hurtling away into the distance.

The other clan leaders were taken aback by this display of pure power and dominance. They had never seen a single human, exihbit such brute strength and control over the battlefield. This was not some ordinary man they were dealing with. This was a walking war machine, a force of nature that was felling Krogans like they were nothing more than dust motes.

Axel raised his voice across the now quiet battlefield. "Anyone else wants to try their luck? Or do you finally understand your place?" His words echoed in the silence, a challenge to anyone foolish enough to continue fighting.

There were no takers. The bodies of their fallen comrades lay as bloody stains on the ground, a morbid testament to Axel's might, while those leaders still standing could only stare in silent at the sheer embarrassment that they just received. Not only did Thrak lose his life against this human, but they too could not even do any damage to him before half of them were already dead.

The arrival of the ODSTs just added another layer of insurance to Axel's overwhelming advantage, their drop pods landing around the area in a perfect circle. Once they got out, the ODST's surrounded the remaining Krogan and forced them all into a circle.

"I gave you a chance once, but you took that and stepped all over it. So now, you will face the consequences of your actions." said Axel as he put his hand up signaling the ODST's to take aim.

A silence fell over the battlefield as the once fearless warriors were now staring at their executioners, the ODST's. It had been a while since these frontline hell droppers killed an enemy, so when they were called to mobilize and not for a training exercise, they were excited.

One of the clan leaders, a old Krogan called Durnok, dared to break the silence. His voice rasped out like gravel grinding against steel. "You may kill us... but you will never conquer us." His voice was defiant despite the current situation that they were in.

Staring at the Krogan who spoke out, Axel realized that some people would never change, and in some cases the only way to deal with them was death.

"That remains to be seen." He replied confidently.

In an instant, the air was filled with sounds of gunfire as the ODST's opened fire. The sound of energy shots could be heard echoing around the area. Krogan bodies fell to the ground in waves, their lifeless forms collapsing amidst the bloody dust of Tuchunka.

This day would forever be known as the '5 clans' massacre'.

Axel boarded his transport ship and returned to his ship, while another transport had come in to pick up the ODST's. The bodies of the Krogan would stay to serve as a reminder to the rest of the Krogan who tried to cause problems.

A few Krogan had heard the battle going on but didn't bother getting involved considering they knew what clans were meeting and why they were meeting. Once the battle was over, they approached the meeting place and saw the bloodbath.

That's when the word spread about the massacre of the five clans. Messages relayed from clan to clan, from warrior to warrior, about the massacre that occurred and the power that the Ascendency had shown Thrak and the other clans who were advocating for war against the Galaxy.

They didn't know that the emperor himself was personally involved, but the message still got across.
