What can be weirder than feeling like you are drunk when you are not at all?

Belladonna Szinak, the daughter of a reputed count and a well settled educated young lady. Perhaps she came to the capital city of Kuravos for studying Welfare Sciences and she somehow ended up in the extremely weird and senseless storm of unusual events.
She was a normal person, a normal citizen only three days ago, or for the world rather just a day ago; but now she was referred to as a mad woman.
Why?
Since every other circumstance made it look like that. There is no way she would be referred to as a sane person after everything that had happened.
