Chapter 11 - Drowning

He walked closer to her. Becoming aware of his presents she turned around, his eyes caught her as she recognized him behind the Giant black wolf. "Couldn't you give me just 5 minutes of peace? ".She said indifferently as they stared at each other the wolf slowly shifted back to Seth before her eyes.

And then as Seth stood there in the place of the black wolf and he was Naked? Why? Angelica turned her eyes away and a light blush crept up her cheek. A smirk formed on Seth's face.

"Uncomfortable, are we?" Seth said teasingly. Angelic felt frustrated being teased like that by him! "Yes! Put some pants on." Angelica replied throwing a mini tantrum. If he wanted to be childish, she was going to be too.

"And if I don't?" He said teasing even more walking towards her slowly. "Then I'll be going for a swim, She said back mockingly.", "You wouldn't dare!" Seth said his voice turning to a low growl as Angelic stood up, and looked him dead in the eyes for the first time in the conversation. "Wouldn't I?"

Before Seth could grab her she jumped. "Dame woman!" Seth yelled before jumping in after her. As their heads broke through the water Seth heard laughing. "Do you think this is funny?' Seth said angrily. "Yes, I do." Angelic said happily and splashed Seth.

"Oh, I see how it is!" Seth said and sent a wave of his own toward her. He had come there expecting a fight, but not this kind, but he wasn't about to complain or lose. As they exchanged splashes like two children playing together in a swimming pool as the gentle current of the river offered them little resistance. The water was cool and comfortable against his warm skin.

This was the first time they were truly bonding, blissfully unaware of a pair of jealous eyes watching them from the shadows, as their laughter and the sounds of splashing water filled the peaceful forest... After a while of playing together in the water, they had reached a treaty in the splash wars and were now just swimming, staring deeply into Seth's blue eyes it felt like she could be drowned.

Seth broke the silence, "Don't ever run away like that again! It's too dangerous for you to be out here alone.", "Dangerous, How?" Angelica asked and Seth just looked back at her not saying anything.

"How do you ever expect me to trust you if you're not willing to trust me?" She said calmly. She didn't want to fight anymore; it wasn't getting them anywhere.

She was right and he knew it. If they were going to have a chance at fixing the relationship and making it work he had to trust her. Part of him knew the reason she was so frustrated is that she was always being caught off guard due to him withholding information from her, but he was being as open as he could be.

Although she is his destined mate, he still does not know her that well and he has a responsibility to protect his pack above all else, even if it's from his own mate. He was determined to only tell her what is necessary.

"These are part of the pack hunting grounds. You haven't been introduced to them yet so you could have been seen as a trespasser and…"

the silents spoke louder than words could.

"The pack is on high alert after what happened with Markus last night. We should get going back I still have work to do." Seth said and they swam towards shore. Angelica climbed out first and Seth followed in suit pulling a pair of shorts out from behind a nearby tree.

You can look now, Seth said after he put the pants on. As she turned around to find a dripping wet Seth. The bare skin of his chest glistens in the sunlight as small water stands run down his perfect body. "There are clothes hidden throughout pack territory." Seth offered an explanation for where he got the pants. A slight blush crept up his cheek as he felt her eyes on him.

"Weren't you shy a while ago?" Seth said teasing Angelica who blushed in turn.

"Let's go back." Seth said and stretched out his hand to Angelica who took it. His large hand wrapped around her small fragile hand. They walked back hand-in-hand
