[Vereena]
Even as Callum knelt down in front of me, I was still in a fog and could only stare at him. Processing the entire surprise thing they had concocted.
Everyone around us was extremely silent though the time stood still, and held their breath high with anticipation as though I was going to refuse and jump off the board.
"Do we have a priest?" My inquiry broke the silence while I wondered if Callum had somehow miraculously conjured a priest to wed us.
"We don't need a priest caileag. Eulisses will be the one to perform the handfasting," he replied, then stared up at me with bated breath. "So?"
I couldn't express it. It's just that it happened too quickly, and before I knew it, my tears sprung from my eyes. My heart started to thump wildly with anticipation at the thought of having Callum as my husband.
"Yes, Callum. Oh gods, yes!" I jumped out of excitement and pulled Callum into a tight hug.
